Chief Alan Jarvis (AJ)

On behalf of our members and myself, I welcome you to our new website.

Our goal is to provide you with information about our dedicated staff and the services we offer to our community.

At Spout Springs Emergency Services, we pride ourselves on delivering exemplary emergency services to the Johnsonville and Barbecue townships. We proudly respond to emergencies from two strategically located stations: Station One on Buffalo Lake Road and Station Two along Hwy 24/27 in Johnsonville. Our department is a dynamic blend of 23 dedicated full-time employees and 24 passionate volunteers, all committed to safeguarding our community. With our full-time firefighters operating on a reliable 24/48 shift schedule, we ensure that help is always available no matter what time of day or night they are needed.

 Since our establishment in 1968, our volunteers have been the backbone of our operations. Their unwavering commitment and selfless service are what make our department truly exceptional. We operate under the guidance of nine elected Board Members from our community who also volunteer their time in helping our department run smoothly.

As our community continues to grow, Harnett County reports that the Spout Springs Emergency Services Fire District serves a population of 18,833 and covers approximately 42.64 square miles.

If you are interested in volunteering, please stop by either station and pick up a application or print an application from this website.

Thank you for visisting and please remember, Spout Springs’ number one priority is your safety.

Respectfully;

Chief Alan Jarvis (AJ)
